Group of Vintage and Antique Quilt Blocks . The group includes a mix of antique, vintage, and modern quilt blocks. Featuring 10 antique c1892 red work quilt blocks each with different hand embroidered designs such as a dancing woman, a hand, thistle, hanging up laundry, and more. They measure 11.5” x 12” and are in good/fair condition with some toning and spots. 12 vintage c1940 hexagonal quilt blocks featuring different hand embroidered state outlines with their state bird, flower, and year/date of incorporation. They measure 9” x 10.5” and are in good condition. 7 quilt blocks by the Hmong people in a mix of colorful cross stitch and skillful applique work in ethnic patterns. They rang in size from 8 1/2” x 8 3/4” to 6” x 5 3/4”. In good condition. 1 c1998 “Piece in the Rockies” vinyl printed Quilt Colorado ’98 navy blue cotton block measuring 7” x 7”. Several of the blocks have been featured in books co-authored by Bobbi Aug. In fair condition with some discoloration. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
