9 c1940 Black Americana Feedsack Appliques. The group features 9 Black Americana/Caribbean appliques of a woman looking to the left/right wearing a matching feedsack dress and head wrap with a hand embroidered face and 3D applied hoop earrings. The feedsacks are in a mix of floral prints and graphic prints. The blocks measure 13” long by 6 3/4” wide and are in good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
