Description
2 Vintage c1950s Quilt Tops including Jacob’s Ladder measuring 71×82″. It is hand and machine pieced. In good condition with a few small spots. Along with a Sting Pieced Quilt top, measuring 58×77″, hand pieced. It is in poor condition with several spots and many seams have come undone. Both textiles are just quilt tops with no backing, batting, or quilting. The Jacob’s Ladder top can be found on page 189 in “Vintage Quilts” co-authored by Bobbie Aug. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
