Description
2 c1910 Quilt Tops includes a c1900 Pattern Sampler quilt top measuring 59 x 70 inches, from PA. It is hand pieced. In good condition with just a brown spot. Along with an c1920 Block Medley in a Strippy Arrangement, measuring 47 x 90 inches. It is hand and machine pieced. It is in good condition with a few small spots, and wavy along one side. Both textiles are just quilt tops with no batting, backing, or quilting. Both quilt tops were published in “Vintage Quilts” co-authored by Bobbie Aug page 188 and 189. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
