Description
2 Vintage c1940 Quilt Tops. Includes a vintage c1940 Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt top measuring 69 x 84″. It is comprised of 64 flower rosettes with orange centers, round of solid, and a surround of prints. A hexagons about 7/8 inch along one side. The rosettes are arranged 4 by 16 and staggered. There is a double path of white hexagons between the rosettes. 2 sides are set with half blocks. It is hand pieced. It is in good condition with overall toning, age discoloration, and small spots. Along with a vintage c1930s Apple Core quilt top measuring 68 x 84 inches. It is comprised of 324 core shapes, 6 by 4.25 inches, set straight, 16 by 20. All the print and color Apple Cores are vertical, and the off white muslin cores are horizontal. It is hand pieced. It is in fair condition with overall toning and spots, and 3 lavender cores have faded. Both textiles are only quilt tops, there is no batting backing or quilting. From a Wisconsin Collector.
