Description
2 Vintage c1940s Irish Chain Quilts includes the pink and white Double Irish Chain measuring 60×82″. It is comprised of 35 blocks, 10×10″, with 18 25 patches, and 17 alternating blocks, set straight, 5 by 7, with 2.5″ white inner border, and a 2.5″ white outer border. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. There is a bright pink backing and cotton batting. The edge is finished with an applied white binding. It is in fair condition with small spots and fading, most noticeable in the borders. Along with a Vintage Triple Irish Chain light a terracotta brown and off white quilt measuring 72×74″. It is comprised of 25 blocks, 13 49 squares, and 12 alternating squares, 14×14″, set straight, 5 by 5. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted. There is off white backing and medium loft cotton batting. It is in good condition with several small spots, and I believe it may have been cut down. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
