Description
2 Vintage c1930s Blue and White Quilts. Includes a vintage Goose Tracks Quilt measuring 70 x 83 inches. It is comprised of 20 blocks, 10.5 x 10.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with 5 inch solid blue sashing and 5.5 inch solid blue border. It is hand pieced, and hand quilted. There is an off white backing and thin cotton batting. The edge is finished knife edge style. It is in fair condition with several spots, fading, and a minor storage line discoloration through the centerfolds. Along with a vintage blue and white Jacob’s Ladder Quilt. It measures 70×82 inches. Comprised of 30 blocks, 10.5 x 10.5 inches, set straight, 5 by 6, with a 7.5 inch white border. There is an off white cotton reverse and thin cotton batting. The edge appears to be a newer addition, most likely a conservation effort; it is a 1.75 inch applied blue binding by machine zigzag stitch. It is in poor condition with several spots, areas of repair, and other holes, splits, and wear. There is wonderful quilting in the quilt, though. From a Wisconsin Collector.
