Description
Antique c1870 On Point 9 Patch Quilt measuring 77 by 86 inches. It is comprised of 90 blocks, 6 by 6 inches, set on point, with double pink print setting squares and triangles. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Medium loft cotton batting and a madder stripe print reverse. The edge is finished with an applied double pink print binding, by hand. Many of the fabrics in the 9 patch blocks date from about 1830 to 1840 including Prussian blue, Prussian green, and chintz fabrics. Believed to be from New England.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with minor discolorations, spots, and one small hole. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
