Group of 3 molas with hand reverse appliqué and appliqué construction throughout, each worked in three layers.
Panama (Guna Yala), circa 1970s, 14.5 x 19.5 inches
Red ground with bold orange channel-work presenting a large central spiral medallion framed by dense labyrinthine forms and smaller geometric corner motifs. The continuous, uninterrupted pathway structure filling the entire composition reflects the Guna mastery of negative-space reversal, guiding the eye through an intricate web of interlocking curves.

Rich red ground with black and yellow geometric forms arranged in repeating H- and cross-shaped units, creating a bold, rhythmically structured composition across the full surface. The strong graphic contrast of black against red with yellow accent reveals is characteristic of classic Guna channel work at its most architecturally resolved.
