Description
Egyptian Khayamiya Applique Tentmakers of Cairo- Market Scene. Featured is an Egyptian Khayamiya which features an everyday market scene. The location is outside and on the foreground, a man has a cart where he is ladling food for the buyers in front of him. In the background, there are trees, a home, a building, and a woman carrying a basket on her head. The scenes were created with the usage of hand applique and the people are decorated with well patterned clothing. It measures 38″x39″. There is a red border. Some piling can be seen but it is in good condition. It is made from cotton.
