Description
Vintage c1960 String Pieced Summer Quilt measuring 73 by 93 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, 11.5 by 11.5 inches, set straight, 6 by 7, with 6 partial blocks along the top. It is hand pieced, and hand and machine quilted. There appears to be no batting, and a yellow floral print sheet is used as the reverse. The edge is finished with back brought to the front and applied by machine. Lots of fun fabric prints in this piece! And very graphic! The workmanship is primitive, the quilter did not use a walking foot and as a result there are several puckers on the reverse.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with several yellow discolorations. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
