Reverse appliqué mola panel worked in three layers of orange, red, and dark black cotton, featuring two large confronting birds rendered within a dense, fully saturated labyrinthine composition, each with distinctive embroidered eyes. Applied to a child’s short-sleeve blouse constructed with blue commercial floral-print cotton body fabric, yellow ric-rac trim at the yoke, and red neckband. Techniques include reverse appliqué, appliqué, and embroidery.

Condition report:
