2 Vintage Quilts – Cross in Square, Amish Kings Crown. c1900 Cross in the Square measures “61 by 76 inches. The blocks are set on point with red and white 4 patch cornerstones giving it a very complicated aesthetic. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting off white cotton reverse. An applied red binding. It is in poor condition with overall edge wear, storage discolorations, water marks, and other spots. But it is a really unique design and unique construction including some misplaced blocks along one side. A third-quarter 20th century Amish crib quilt measuring 40 by 55 inches in Kings Crown pattern. There are 6 blocks, 9 by 9 inches, set on point, 2 by 3 with solid blue setting squares and triangles and a 7.5 inch solid green border. Fabrics appear to be mostly poly cotton and some cotton with polyester batting and a blue poly cotton reverse. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. In fair condition with several spots and discolorations and small splits on the reverse. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
