Description
William Morris Tree of Life with Peacocks Quilt measuring 78 x 80″ and inspired by the Tree of Life by Karen Griska. The quilt is comprised of William Morris reproduction fabrics in a diamond shaped medallion with a large tree of life with radiating roots in the center and a peacock under the branches on each side along with a single flower in each of the side points of the diamond. There are four peacocks with flower bouquets for tails in each corner, an inner border with on point small squares and an outer swag border, all on a tan toile ground. It is machine pieced, machine applique and machine quilted, with a dark blue floral reverse. The quilt is in excellent condition with good workmanship. The quilt is signed and dated “Ellen Rosenbach 9-17-2010” on the front right bottom corner. Please see the About This Auction for her story! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
