Description
Sally Post Floral Medallion Broken Star Quilt finished in October 2, 2009 by Ellen Rosenbach. The original Sally Post quilt was a signature floral sample quilt, name inscribed and dated 1854. Ellen combined a unique broken star setting for the center of the medallion surrounded by 28 floral applique blocks in a red and green color palette. It measures 81×84″. It is hand and machine appliqued, machine pieced, and machine quilted. The bird in the center block is repeated on the back, a sweet little surprise! The quilt is in excellent condition with excellent workmanship. The quilt is signed and dated by Ellen Rosenbach on the reverse. Please see the About This Auction for Ellen’s story!
