Description
Antique 1873 Burlington NJ Signature Quilt Top measuring 73 by 85 inches. It is comprised of 20 grandmother’s pride blocks, 12.5 by 12.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 5, with 4 inch red and yellow print stashing, and borders 2 inches along the top and bottom and 5.5 inches along the sides. It is hand pieced. In the center of each block is a name inscribed or signed in indelible ink. Names include Israel Kirby, Lizzie Potts, Amy Kirby, Sarah C Taylor, Robert Taylor, Rachel H Rogers, Achsah R Bryan with the date 1873, Rebecca Danby, Joseph Davis, Emily a Kirby, Joshua Taylor, and several more. A quick search shows that Achsah R Bryan in 1873 was in Mansfield in Burlington County New Jersey, and married to George Bryan. It is in good condition with just a few small spots and some signatures are starting to fade. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
