Description
Antique c1860 Peony or Tulip Wreath Quilt measuring 84 by 84 inches. It is comprised of 9 blocks, 21.5 by 21.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 3, with a 9 inch green swag or vine with buds appliquéd border on all 4 sides. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied green print binding. It is in fair condition with several spots, overall toning, edge wear, and the Turkey red solid fabric is starting to wear and several areas. The quilting on the quilt is wonderful with no 2 blocks being the same and different motifs quilted under the swags and above the flowers, as well. I’m surprised I have not been able to find initials or date quilted into the quilt. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
