Description
Ethnic Pouches, Coin Bags, and More. The lot consists of 15 pouches and more primarily from Guatemala. Featured are 13 pouches/coin bags, a notepad, and a sash. The majority of those included are handmade and while most were made in Guatemala, some were made in India and Indonesia as well. The fabric content consists of licra, cotton, rayon, and more. Most of the pieces were likely made from upcycled huipil fabric which is a traditional garment worn by women in Guatemala and Mexico. Each bag showcases skilled embroidery in a colorful selection of colors. The notepad features six human figures with their clothes being made from spare thread. The sash has diagonal stripes of color and solid red ends with a tricolor fringe on both sides. Most of the pieces features broad stripes of color while others have animal or human figures. The lot is in good condition and each piece is radiant with color. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
