Description
Antique 19th Century Velvet Vest. The lot consists of an antique velvet best with a cotton-satin backing. Featured is an antique velvet vest with neon pink embroidery that is featured with the velvet flowers. The eight buttons are still on the best with ring backings and are in good condition. The buttons feature small heads that are carved onto them. Laid flat, the best has the following measurements: Shoulders: 13″, Length: 22″, Waist: 19″. There are two front pockets and one on the inside as well. There is some prominent toning that is visible on the interior of the best. There are some areas on the front of the best that have some holes and the pits features loose fabric and minor tears. Small spots and water discoloration can be seen on the inside of the best alongside toning. Some of the velvet on the front has faded in color. The fasten on the back has a hole but the buckle is in fair condition through it has rusted. It is in fair condition overall and it’s condition is a sign of its age.
