Description
2 Antique c1890s quilts include a Star of Bethlehem Quilt measuring 74 by 74 inches. The star is comprised of diamonds about 2.5 inches, it is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a yellow solid reverse. It is in fair condition with several small holes, toning and several spots. Along with a patriotic red, white, blue Boston Common’s quilt measuring 71 by 77 inches. It is medallion style with pieced frames of squares with alternating solid red, and white print stars on blue frames. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Also in poor condition with Turkey red abrading, black print in the center is popping, and a red print has faded to a tan. Thin cotton batting off white cotton reverse and the edge is finished with an applied claret print binding If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
