Description
Antique c1890 Hexagonal Star Quilt, patriotic in red, white, and blue solid fabrics. It measures 75 by 86 inches. It is comprised of 23 blocks, 7.5 inches along one side, set straight, and staggered, 3 by 5. There is a 3.5 inch red and blue solid sash and, partial blocks set the top and bottom and red solid triangles set the sides. There is a 2 inch off white border along the top and bottom. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied blue solid binding. It is in good condition with some small spots, and toning. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
