Description
Dating approximately to 1908, this antique perching hat features a fine black straw braid constructed over a wire frame and is adorned with a brown and tan natural ostrich plume, paired with rose/rust-colored silk gross grain ribbon. Black jet decorations add a touch of detail, and the hat is equipped with horsehair for attaching. Previously part of a collection that rented to the entertainment industry. Restoration may have done but with period materials and skilled workmanship. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
