Description
3 antique handwoven fixed fans crafted from natural fibers. The Asian made round woven fan features a woven natural disc with a stenciled bird motif and bone handle, measures 11 1/2 in x 7 1/2 in, with paint loss to the applied image. The second fan, which is an antique Pankha Mughal fan features an axe head shaped panel made of woven reeds and colorful thread in geometric patterns, with a blue silk edging, metallic silver ric rac trim, metallic silver appliques with a bamboo handle with painted accents, measures 17 in x 8 3/4 in, In fair condition with a cracked handle, slight fading throughout. The third fan, also an Indian made Pankha Mughal fan with an axe shaped head made of woven palm fronds in a basket weave pattern with a red painted bamboo handle measuring 16 in x 7 1/2 in, it is in good/fair condition with paint losses on the handle.
