Description
Vintage c1930 Star of Bethlehem Quilt measuring 78 x 102 inches. The star measures about 59 by 59 inches. It is comprised of diamonds in solid red, peach orange and yellow against a pale peach ground. It is surrounded by several 1.25 inch borders red, peach, orange, yellow and 3.5″ peach vertical borders and 8 inch horizontal borders. The top and bottom have 2 additional borders of 1.5 inches and then a 3.5″ pale peach top and border outer border. It is hand and machine pieced, hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a pale peach reverse. The edge is finished with and a pale peach fabric binding. It is in good condition, appears to be unused, with only minor fading and a seam coming undone. The quilt has a wonderful soft and shiny sateen finished to much of its fabric. Indigo, the dog, is not included, but this is her favorite quilt in the auction, as you can see! In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
