Description
Antique 19th Century (best estimate 3rd quarter) Princess Feather Quilt with each block consisting of 4 plumes and a reverse applique sand dollar center. It measures 91 by 91 inches. It is comprised of 4 blocks, 28 by 28 inches, set straight, 2 x 2, with a 13 inch white border with appliqued Turkey red feathers. There is a 2 inch red and white sawtooth border and a 2.5 inch solid white outer border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. It is in fair condition with overall toning, scattered spots, the Turkey red fabric is starting to wear in some areas, and minor edge wear. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
