Description
Vintage c1940s Poinsettia Quilt (block 3009 in Brackman’s Encyclopedia of patterns) measuring 77 by 92 inches. It is comprised of 50 blocks, 10.5 by 10.5 inches, set on point and staggered, 5 by 6, with partial block setting triangles. It is machine pieced and hand quilted in overall Baptist fan motif. There is cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by machine. It is in good condition with a few small spots and one small hole, not thru and thru, along an edge. Very patriotic using red, white, and blue solid fabrics. The color placement gives the quilt a secondary design. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
