Description
Antique c1890 Improved 4 Patch Variation Quilt measuring 64 by 75 inches. It is comprised of 56 blocks, 8.5 by 8.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 8, with a 2.5 inch claret print border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. Thick cotton batting, and a blue and white woven gingham reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. The quilt has a very patriotic aesthetic with indigo prints and solid, claret red prints and solids, and a white shirting prints. Blocks alternated between the indigo and claret, creating a checkboard like pattern. Quite graphic! It is in good condition with just a few small spots and minor fading in the claret. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
