2 Antique Quilts – Pyramid & c1870s Lone Star. Includes a c1870s Lone Star or Star of Bethlehem quilt consisting of an 8-point star comprised of 19 rows of diamonds in alternating print fabrics in quercitron yellow, turkey red and double green with yellow and red setting stars and applique tulips in each corner, on-point square border and yellow binding, hand pieced, hand quilted and hand appliqued, thin cotton batting, white cotton reverse, measuring 79″ x 84″, in poor condition with many holes, stains, heavy edge wear and overall fabric deterioration. Also includes a c1860s Pyramid quilt comprised of 450 pyramid blocks set 15 x 31, with a vast library of fabrics, including lapis blue, purples, moires, plaids, mourning prints and more, a great research piece, hand pieced, hand quilted, thin cotton batting, white cotton reverse, print fabric binding, measuring 82″ x 92″, in poor condition with one large shredded area, stains, fabric deterioration, wear and discoloration. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections.
