Vintage c1930s Blazing Star & Bowtie/Patchwork Sofa Tied Comfort Crib Quilt. Includes a Blazing Star quilt comprised of 16 blazing star blocks set 4 x 4, with yellow and blue print fabric diamonds, and white setting squares, a yellow sash inner border, and a yellow print binding, hand and machine pieced, hand quilted, thin cotton batting, white cotton reverse, measuring 72″ x 74″, in fair condition, with large areas of staining, overall fading and discoloration, heavy fading to red stars, and some small holes. Also includes a early 1900s cutdown Bowtie quilt comprised of 49 bowtie blocks set 7 x 7 with a variety of plaids, shirts, and claret prints, hand pieced, the quilt is backed by a fan variation tied to the bowtie quilt, blocks comprised of several late 1800s fabrics, bound with a variety of floral prints, measuring 37″ x 37″, in fair condition with many stains, holes, fading and deterioration. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author. In overall good condition minor spots and/or discolorations, please see the photographs for imperfections.
