Description
2 Quilts by Bobbie Aug from 1999. Rail Fence measures 52×52″ and was inspired by an 1880s silk ribbon quilt. It was quilted by Sandi Freuhling. it is in very good condition. It can be found on page 40 of “Charm Quilts with Style” co-authored by Bobbie Aug. Along with Loose Change, by Bobbie Aug and quilted by Janet Spencer, 66×82″, and is a variation of Chinese Coins. It is also in very good condition. It can be found on page 25 in “String Quilts with Style” co-authored by Bobbie Aug. There is a sleeve for hanging attached to the back along the top of the quilts. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer, quilt store co-owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
