Description
Antique c1860 Rose Applique Quilt measuring 76 by 84 inches. It is comprised of 9 appliquéd blocks, 15 by 15 inches, set on point, 3 by 3, with solid white alternating squares and setting triangles. There is a 6.25 inch undulating vine and bud border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding along with an over dyed green piping around the perimeter. It is in poor condition with overall loss to the Turkey red fabric flowers and buds, and overall edge wear. This quilt though exhibits a very different border with graceful leaves, and lovely quilting in the open spaces. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
