Description
Antique c1860 Star Quilt with inked signatures and stamped name inscriptions measuring 69 by 82 inches. It is comprised of 42 blocks, 10 by 10 inches, set straight, 6 by 7, with 1.5 inch red and white plaid sashing and border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the red and white plaid fabric applied binding. The quilt is believed to be from Eastern Pennsylvania or New Jersey. Some of the last names are watch Watrous, Stowe, Newton, Windsor, Woodruff, Doolittle, and Briggs. There is no date or location on the quilt. It is in poor condition with edge wear, spots, fading, and other discolorations. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
