Description
Antique c1920 Basket Quilt measuring 82 by 84 inches. It is comprised of 33 complete blocks, 8 by 8 inches, set on point, and staggered 6 by 6, in a 4 inch light brown print streak of lightening setting and setting triangles. There is a 1.75 inch red print inner border and a 6 inch light brown print out of border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a really cool brown wavy print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in good condition with some marking lines still evident for the quilting. There is a sleeve on the back along the top edge for hanging. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
