Description
Vintage Amish Trip Around the World Quilt measuring 82 by 83 inches. The center is comprised of 1.75 inch squares, with fabric and color placement creating the Trip Around the World pattern. There is a 13 inch purple crêpe border with turquoise cornerstones. There is thin cotton batting and a pieced print reverse that includes feed sacks. The edge is finished with a 2 inch purple rayon applied binding. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. Fabrics include rayons, satins, cotton, and more. It is in good condition with a few spots and a seam is coming undone. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
