Description
Antique c1880 Pinwheel Quilt measuring 83 by 86 inches. It is comprised of 36 pinwheel blocks, 8 by 8 inches, set on point, 6 by 6, with a madder print in the alternating squares and setting triangles. There is a in 12 inch brown print border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a bars back reverse. The back uses one fabric in 2 different colorways. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand. It is in very good condition with one small spot. From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
