Description
Pair of 2, 19th Century Ladies Petticoats and More. The group includes 3 cotton 19th century petticoats, featuring 1 with a plain body and a hem embellished with small pickups, gathers, embroidered borders, knot work, and a machine lace inset and bottom trim. The top has a mother of pearl back facing closure and the initials M.L.N cross stitched in red on the waistband. Laying flat it measures: waist: 11 3/4”, length: 28.5”. Also featured is 1 19th century cotton petticoat featuring tight gathers at the back waist with a mother of pearl closure, pickups, an inset with hand embroidered eyelets in a circular pattern, and a bottom flounce with a floral hand embroidered eyelet pattern. Laying flat it measures: waist: 10 3/4”, length: 26.5”. As well as 1 pair of 19th century cotton split drawers featuring a gathered waist with a mother of pearl button back closure, the iconic center split, and cuffs embellished with vertical and horizontal pickups with hand embroidered insets and an embroidered scalloped edging. At the front waistband there is an inked name but it is fairly illegible. Laying flat it measures: waist: 12.5”, length: 29”. There is a tear near the back button hole. The group is in fair condition with toning, storage line discoloration, and spots. Please see the photos for details and condition. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
