Description
Antique c1910 Ocean Waves Quilt measuring 71 by 82 inches. It is comprised of 12 yellow print squares, 7 by 7 inches, set straight, 3 by 4 with 6 inch pieced Ocean Wave lozenge shapes, 6 by 13 inches. There are yellow print fabric setting triangles, 3.5″ red print inner border, and an 8.5 inch green print outer border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a green print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by machine. The backing fabric and quilting is later than the top which is c1890. It is in fair condition with several light and dark spots and a small tear in the red border.
