Description
2 Antique 19th century quilts in As Is condition. Includes a c1870 Tulip Quilt measuring 70 by 77 inches it is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished in a print cotton fabric. It is in poor condition with large dark spots, fade line discoloration, other fading, fabric deterioration, split seams, and lifting to the appliqué stems. I believe also that the blue fabric was it one time green. Along with a c1870 8 Pointed Star quilt with Flying Geese border measuring 74 by 87 inches. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a wonderful horseshoe and writing prop novelty print reverse. Edge is finished with back brought to the front and applied by machine. It is also in poor condition with overall toning, dark spots, fabric deterioration, and edge wear. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
