Description
Vintage 1932 George Washington Quilt commemorating what would have been his 200th birthday. It measures 74 by 85 inches. The center features several trees below Washington’s silhouette profile, cherries, and the dates 1732 and 1932. It is surrounded by another frame of cherry trees and an outer border of pieced red and white X blocks. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thick cotton batting and an off white reverse. The edge is finished with an applied red binding. It is in good condition with a few small spots. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
