Description
Vintage c1940 Sailboat Quilt measuring 53 by 97 inches. It is comprised of 24 blocks, 10 by 13 inches, set straight, 4 by 6, with 2.5 inch red sashing and outer border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted. There is a thin flannel blanket inside is batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding. It is in good condition. Workmanship is primitive but charming, especially the 2 blocks with the misplaced piecing. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
