Description
Antique c1900 Wool Streak of Lightning Tied Comfort Quilt measuring 68×93. Comprised of 4.5×9.5 wool rectangles. Fabric placement creates the designs. It is Machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand tied in red Perl cotton at every block intersection. There is thick cotton batting and a purple and red woven stripe flannel reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. 2 fabrics are hand embroidered “Calvin’s First Suit Bought by him” and “George’s Wedding Overcoat”. It is in very good condition with no issues noted. From an Alexandria, VA collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
