Description
Vintage c1950 Japanese Lantern Quilt Measuring 68 by 78 inches. It is comprised of 28 blocks, 11 by 11 inches, set on point and staggered, 3 by 8, with partial block setting triangles. There is 1.5″ blue print sashing with solid cornerstones. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. There is a medium loft cotton batting and a blue rose feed sack print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in fair condition with overall fading, a few spots, some wear to the red fabric, and a small hole in a seam.
