Description
2 Antique Crib Size Quilts. Includes an antique c1880 4 Patch block crib quilt set on point measuring 41×49″. I believe the blocks may have been made into the quilt later because the batting feels like polyester. The backing appears to be an antique brown print fabric. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The edge is finished with the tiny red and white check print fabric, by machine. It is in good condition with some spots and discolorations. Along with a c1870 Old Italian block quilt measuring 47 by 47 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 10 by 10 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with a 3.5″ pieced dogtooth border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting with a brown cotton print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, applied by hand. It is in poor condition with overall toning, water staining, edge wear, small holes in the border, and fabric deterioration to the backing fabric. But some great old prints in this quilt.
