Description
2 Vintage Crib Quilts. Includes a Bars Quilt, c1900, measuring 30 by 44 inches. One side is comprised of 5 bars, 6 inches each, pink print, green print, yellow print. The reverse is comprised of 5 bars, green print, pink print, brown print. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. There is medium loft cotton batting. The edge is finished with a green print fabric binding. It is in poor condition with overall fading, a small hole on one side, and the reverse brown print bar is deteriorating. Along with a small c1940 doll quilt measuring 18 by 23 inches. It is comprised of 4 hand embroidered blocks, 7.5 by 7.5 inches, set straight, 2 x 2, with one inch pink sashing and vertical borders and 3 inch pink horizontal borders it is machine pieced, hand embroidered, hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a pink solid reverse. The edge is finished with an applied pink fabric binding. It is in fair condition with overall toning and a large spot, but the embroidery is very sweet and well done From the estate of Sharon Stark, noted Pennsylvania textile dealer and award winning author.
