Description
Antique c1855 Variable Star Quilt measuring 72 by 87 inches. It is comprised of 60 blocks, 7 by 7 inches, set on point and staggered, 5 by 12. There is a 2.75 inch print sashing and partial block setting triangles. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied print binding, by hand. There are some wonderful early fabrics in this quilt including Prussian blue, madder prints, over dyed greens, early purples, chintz, Turkey red, and much more. It is in fair condition with a large spot, smaller spots, and several fabrics are deteriorating. If you have any doubt, please ask questions! In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
