8 Pieces of 19th Century Floral Chintz. The group includes 8 pieces of 19th century floral chintz. Featuring 1 pink, yellow, and brown floral chintz with bunches of daisies and ferns. It measures 22” x 36.5” and is in good condition with some light toning. 1 red, pink, purple and blue floral chintz on a white ground measuring 20” x 31.5” long with a 9.5” x 10” missing portion at one end. It is in fair condition with overall toning, spots, and a small tear at one end. 1 piece of brown, green, and white chintz with vine-like flowers and flourishes measuring 12” x 21”. In good condition with a few small areas of discoloration. 1 piece of brightly colored floral chintz in shades of blue, green, yellow and pink bunches of flowers measuring 12 3/4” x 19”. It is in good condition with light toning and spots. 1 piece of tan, brown, and blue intertwined floral ribbon chintz measuring 9.5” x 25”. It is in fair condition with several holes throughout. 2 pieces of floral chintz with gnarled cherry blossom branches and a scalloped ikat like garlands. 1 piece measures 9.5” x 24” and the other measures 10” x 24”. The pair is in fair condition with toning, holes, and small tears. 1 piece of very shiny floral chintz in shades of brown, mustard and pink floral chintz measuring 15” x 26”. It is in fair/poor condition with quite a few holes and tears and is very brittle. Please see the photos. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
