5 Antique c1840 Oak Leaf Quilt Blocks. The group includes 5 antique c1840 Oak Leaf quilt blocks featuring some lovely examples of early chintz, Prussian blue and green, stripes, and floral prints. The blocks have a muslin base and measure 14 1/2” x 14 1/4”. The blocks are skillfully appliqued and mounted on cards and are in plastic sleeves. In good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
