Description
Group of 6 Mini Doll Quilts c1980-1995. The group includes 6 doll quilts from the Bobbie Aug collection. Featuring 1 Tumbler quilt in a mix of browns and multicolored cottons. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with a thin poly batting. It is backed in a brown paisley with a matching sleeve for hanging. It measures 21” x 26” and is in good condition with the sleeve coming unsewn on one end. 1 Double Irish Chain doll quilt featuring hand dyed fabric by Lardwell Spiller Dyeworks and made for the C.S.Q.G auction and made by Melody Munson in February 1994. It is machine pieced and machine quilted with a thin cotton batting. It measures 19 1/4” x 24 1/4”. In good condition. 1 Windmill doll quilt in a mix of blue cotton florals. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with a thin poly batting. It measures 23” x 17.5” and has 2 tabs for hanging. In good condition. 1, 9 Patch doll quilt made by Jane Williams in August of 1992 featuring several vintage c1940 fabrics and neutral cotton. It is hand pieced and hand quilted with no batting. It measures 12” x 15” and has a sleeve and dowel for hanging. It is also signed by Bobbie Aug and is in good condition. 1 white whole cloth quilt with hand quilted striped, hanging grid, and heart/bow trapunto accents. It was made by Joan Ward Prescott in Pueblo CO in 1993. It measures 14 1/4” x 24.5” and is signed by Bobbie Aug. There are also 2 rings attached to the back for hanging. In good condition. 1 blue and white Calico Hearts reunite doll cradle quilt made by Mary Anne Johnson in 1987. It measures 15” x 18” and has a matching sleeve for hanging. In good condition with slight toning. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
