2 19th Century Quilt Tops includes a c1875 Cactus Basket quilt top measuring 58 x 85 inches. It is hand pieced. And in good condition with just a few small spots. Along with an unsigned Album block quilt top c1880, measuring 60 x 84 inches. It is hand pieced. It is in good condition with a few small spots, and split seams, and workmanship is primitive. Both textiles are just quilt tops with no batting, backing, or quilting. Both quilt tops were published in “Vintage Quilts” co-authored by Bobbie Aug page 181 and 189. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
