Description
Vintage Triple Irish Chain Quilt by Arch Quilts measuring 83 x 84 inches. The quilt is comprised completely of 1.5 inch squares in solid fabrics creating a Triple Irish Chain design. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The style is very similar to Amish quilts. There is a polyester batting and off white reverse. The edge features a prairie point finished. While the quilt is missing its Arch label on the back, there is evidence that it was once attached to corner. It is in good condition. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
